Friends and Family,
Thinking back on my first semester here at Norwich, I thought about some of the things that I wish I knew. I thought about the mistakes I may have made and some opportunities I took. Because of my reflection, I have decided to write about the clubs on campus.
At some point during the first week of academics, there is going to be a club fair. This is a mandatory thing that your cadre make you go to. However, because you are at ease it doesn't seem so bad. I went to this fair and did not take it very seriously. I did not sign up for many clubs and decided to use my time to get to know my new friends.
Today, I regret not getting more involved with the things on campus. I wish that I signed up for every club and got interested in what Norwich had to offer. Yes, I can still get more information about these clubs and probably start attending, but I missed one semester just sitting around when I could have been getting involved.
My hope for incoming students is that they take the club fair seorously. They get involved in the community of Norwich. At the end of the day, it makes rookdom a little more tolerable!
